Job Summary:
We are seeking a NetSuite Solution Architect / Pre-Sales Consultant who can own solution design from initial client discussions through implementation alignment. This role requires a strong combination of business understanding, NetSuite functional depth, solution architecture capability, and client-facing communication skills.
The role involves working closely with sales, delivery, and leadership teams, engaging directly with CFOs, COOs, IT leaders, and operational stakeholders, primarily across international markets, to design scalable, compliant, and implementable NetSuite solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead client discussions to understand business processes, pain points, and objectives across finance, manufacturing, distribution, and services
- Translate business requirements into end-to-end NetSuite solution designs that are scalable and aligned with best practices
- Design solutions covering core ERP, advanced financials, manufacturing, distribution, and reporting
- Define functional architecture, process flows, and reporting approach for proposed solutions
- Support opportunity qualification by participating in discovery sessions, solution walkthroughs, and proposal discussions
- Prepare solution descriptions, scope definitions, assumptions, and high-level effort estimates
- Ensure proposed solutions are realistic and aligned with delivery capabilities and timelines
- Act as a bridge between sales and delivery teams, ensuring smooth handover and clarity of solution intent
- Present solutions clearly to business and technical stakeholders, addressing questions, trade-offs, and alternatives
- Design reporting and analytics approaches suitable for leadership, management, audit, and compliance needs
- Consider internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance (including SOX where applicable) during solution design
- Review and validate solution designs, ensuring consistency across proposals and implementations
- Provide guidance and mentoring to implementation consultants and junior architects
- Contribute to standard solution templates, reference architectures, and best practices
Functional & Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of NetSuite Financials including:
- General Ledger, AP, AR
- Bank Reconciliation
- Fixed Assets & Depreciation
- Revenue Recognition (ARM)
- Amortization & Prepaids
- Experience designing solutions for:
- Manufacturing (BOMs, Work Orders, WIP, Costing)
- Distribution (Inventory, Order Management, Fulfillment)
- Ability to map and design end-to-end business processes such as:
- Procure-to-Pay
- Order-to-Cash
- Record-to-Report
- Plan-to-Produce
- Strong understanding of reporting, dashboards, and management MIS requirements
Client & Communication Experience:
- Proven experience working directly with international clients in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia
- Comfortable leading client workshops, discovery sessions, and solution walkthroughs
- Ability to communicate complex NetSuite concepts in clear, business-focused language
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership and decision-makers
- Comfortable working across time zones and coordinating with global teams
Experience and Skills:
- 8–14+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience
- Proven experience in solution design, architecture, and client-facing roles
- Strong functional knowledge across Finance, Manufacturing, and Distribution
- Experience supporting proposal development, scoping, and estimation
- Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of solution outcomes
Certifications (Plus):
- NetSuite ERP Consultant
- NetSuite Certified Financial User
- NetSuite Certified Administrator
- Certifications are a plus, not mandatory.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Finance, Accounting, Operations, or Engineering background preferred
- MBA (Finance / Operations), CA, CMA, CPA, B. Com, or Engineering degree is an advantage
